The We Support Solar campaign is gathering momentum, with 70 MPs now signed up (at the time of writing) in support of solar, but you can help by adding your name and writing to you MP.
MPs urged to support new solar campaign
Earlier today we delivered over five hundred letters, one to every MP, to the Houses of Parliament explaining why we thought they should Support Solar and promote the Feed in Tariff. We also included a pamphlet with more details on the benefits of solar PV and how it can play a huge part in helping us meet the government’s targets to cut carbon emissions by 2020. These letters were, of course, delivered by the most environmentally friendly means possible: On foot!

Speaking at the Prime Minister's Jobs Summit, Solarcentury Executive Chairman Jeremy Leggett said that "We went into the first phase of green industrialisation even as the global financial crisis broke. So, as far as renewable energy and energy efficiency are concerned, we have a substantial opportunity to work with the grain when it comes to the Green New Deal. With the right policies, solar and other industries can create hundreds of thousands of jobs surprisingly quickly, not in the distant future, but now."
