Application:
The Solarcentury SB Modular Energy System is a photovoltaic (PV) system for flat or shallow pitched roofs. Each SB generator provides 1kWp, and any number of units can be installed, making it quick and easy to plan for any building. It is available with a range of PV modules, so it is always possible to get the best price and performance in a rapidly shifting PV market.
The SB1000 Energy System has been designed as an end to end process in order to slot simply into the work flow of a building project. It eliminates the risk of delay caused by potentially complex PV logistics. The aluminium frame is built off-site and can be installed very rapidly, with the role of roofers and electricians clearly split to provide a simple handover of trades. This is a critical factor for success, with the turn around of modern commercial buildings as fast as ten weeks.
Each SB generator is installed as a free standing unit on the roof, secured to an anchor point that is fixed to the building's framework using standard roofing techniques. This provides a very stable but lightweight system, the cost of strengthening the building reduced, or eliminated.
